Welcome to the Account Customer Terms and Conditions for A Line Taxis (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms outline the terms and conditions that apply to account customers using our private hire taxi services. By using our services as an account customer, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.  A Line Taxis is a trading name of Dorchester Taxis which itself is part of the Weyline Cars Ltd Group.

 

1. Definitions

  • “Company” refers to A Line Taxis – a trading name of Dorchester Taxis, a private hire taxi service provider.
  • “Account Customer,” “you,” or “your” refers to the individuals or entities who have an approved account with the Company.
  • “Services” refers to the private hire taxi transportation services provided by the Company.

 

2. Account Setup and Usage

2.1 Account Application: To become an account customer, you must submit an account application to the Company. Account applications are subject to approval at the Company’s discretion.

2.2 Account Information: You are responsible for providing accurate and complete account information during the application process and for keeping your account information up to date.

2.3 Account Use: Your account is for your exclusive use and cannot be transferred or shared with third parties without the Company’s explicit consent.

 

3. Booking and Use of Services

3.1 Booking: Account customers can book our services through our website, mobile app, or by phone. Bookings are subject to availability.

3.2 User Responsibility: Account customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during the booking process. Any changes to the booking must be communicated promptly to the Company.

3.3 Fare: The fare for each journey is determined by the Company’s pricing structure and can be communicated to the account customer at the time of booking if required. Additional charges, such as tolls, parking fees, and waiting time, may apply.

3.4 Payment: Payment terms for account customers will be specified in the account agreement. Invoices should be settled within the specified timeframe.

 

4. Cancellations and Refunds

4.1 Cancellations: Account customers can cancel their booking by notifying the Company within the specified timeframe. Cancellation charges may apply based on the timing of the cancellation.

4.2 Refunds: Refunds for cancellations will be processed based on the Company’s refund policy. Refunds may be subject to deduction of administrative fees.

 

5. Liability and Insurance

5.1 Liability: The Company will not be liable for any loss, actual or consequential, damage, or injury resulting from the use of our services, except in cases of negligence or wilful misconduct by the Company.

5.2 Insurance: The Company maintains appropriate insurance coverage for its vehicles and passengers in accordance with legal requirements.

 

6. Privacy and Data Protection

6.1 Privacy: The Company respects account customer privacy and complies with applicable data protection laws. Account customer data collected during the booking process will be used for the purpose of providing the services and improving user experience.

6.2 Data Sharing: Account customer data will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes without explicit consent. However, account customer data may be shared with relevant authorities as required by law.

 

7. Modifications and Updates

7.1 Amendments: The Company reserves the right to modify or update these Account Customer Terms and Conditions at any time. Account customers will be notified of significant changes.

 

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

8.1 Governing Law: These Account Customer Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws relevant to trade in the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

8.2 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these Terms not clearly agreed by common law can be taken to an independent body agreeable to both parties.  Failure to agree this then such matters will be referred to the relevant court.
